August 2019 – Sofyx

I have been working on how I could improve the ages old method of retailing. When I came across the introduction of Sofyx, I realised that some of the ways of improvement that I had thought of were already happening at Sofyx. We can finally achieve our goals and compete with Online. These days customers are only attracted to online because everything is a click away and if by some means neighbourhood shop could do the same, it would be magical. Nothing can match that.

In the last few years our business has suffered due to many reasons. Sometimes we feel that we are not able to provide the digital connect that customers need these days. I tried many solutions but there was none that could solve all my issues. I am very excited by what Sofyx has to offer. We are working very closely with them to improve our business

General Trade in India has been behind on technology use. I am glad that Sofyx has taken the lead. I think we have the basic capabilities to create an amazing channel in partnership with Sofyx. This is a unique opportunity that all GT retailers in India should associate with

I spend many hours a day to reconcile and understand the sales, inventory, buying, footfall and other data at the store level. We do it manually and the process is very cumbersome. With Sofyx store analytics module I will have real-time access to this information. I believe this will make me more informed on a daily basis to drive my decisions.

I have been serving the South Delhi market for over twenty years and thousands of families trust us when it comes to consumer electronics. Times have changed. I believe in this age of Internet, resellers like us need better visibility and connect with our customers so that we can serve them better. I am excited Sofyx has taken a lead in this direction. We are looking forward to working with Sofyx.

Ten years back I started off into smartphone business. Over the years I have grown and expanded and today we have four stores in Gurgaon. However, I feel that we lack the systems and processes required to run such a complex business. Right now I am the HR, Finance, Sales, Customer Care, and Operations. I am delighted to partner with Sofyx so that I can start focusing on my growth and expansion.

Increased compliance requirements and pressure on margins take away a lot of my mindshare. Meanwhile, driving growth is becoming increasingly tougher. Sometimes you feel you have hit the wall. My business at three shops has grown 8X in the last ten years. I continue to see expansion opportunities however sometimes I feel restricted due to lack of capital availability.
