The nationwide lockdown has not stopped mobile phone companies from launching new phones. In these times, when affordable phones are expected to be more in demand than the high end ones, let’s have a look at the budget phones launching soon. Since companies are not revealing the exact dates, these budget phones are expected to be launched either in May or in beginning of June.
Realme X3 – A successor of Realme X2, Realme X3 is rumored to have a 6.6 inch touchscreen display and is expected to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ processor with 12GB of RAM. It will have a rear quad-cam setup with a 32MP selfie camera. There will also be a SuperZoom edition coming with this phone.
Redmi Note 9 – It comes with a 6.53-inch touchscreen display and is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G85 processor. As far as the cameras are concerned, the Redmi Note 9 on the rear packs a quad camera setup on the rear with a 13 MP front camera. This Xiaomi phone has already been launched globally and it is expected to be priced around Rs. 11,000 in India.
Realme Narzo 10A/10 – This budget gaming powerhouse Realme series got postponed twice before finally launching in May. Priced at Rs. 8,499 and Rs. 11,999, these phones are going to target young gamers with tight budget. These are not complete all-rounders, but they will meet the requirements of many.
Novel coronavirus caused the cancellation of world’s largest mobile phone showcase, Mobile World Congress, delay of important phone launches and uncertainty of launch dates. But with virtual platform still available for launching phones and holding conferences, it is safe to say that telecom sector is going to be one of the few that may come out unscathed from this pandemic.
