Samsung India made a comeback as the number 2 smartphone brand with 26% market share in the second quarter of the year from position 3 in the previous quarter. While the company launches phones religiously almost every month, the most awaited ones belong to its prestigious S and Note Series.
Galaxy Note 20 Ultra got launched on 5th August in India and became available in the last week of August. Aiming at android power users, this phone isn’t necessarily an upgrade from its predecessor but there have been improvements on camera, display, design and functionality. The phone comes in a truly premium design. Among its best features, Note 20 Ultra’s display takes the top spot. It comes in a curved 6.9 inch Dynamic AMOLED display with a resolution of 3088 x 1440. Also, 120 Ghz refresh rate gives an unparalleled S Pen experience.
There’s a triple camera set – 12 MP (ultrawide), 108 MP (wide-angle), 12 MP (telephoto) at the rear and a 10 MP front-facing camera. With an extremely fast and totally competent Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Plus processor, this phone is a flag-bearer for high end phones. If there’s anything thing that can get in its way is its price, which Samsung is trying to overcome by offering certain buyback benefits. The phone is priced at Rs 1,04,999 in India.
Samsung, the only major non-Chinese player in the country, has gained some ground during anti-China sentiment in India. Even during these uncertain times, Samsung didn’t take a backseat and made sure to launch from budget to high-end premium phones every month.
